Dorel Industries Inc. (Dorel), is a juvenile products and bicycle company. Dorel’s Home furnishings segment markets furniture products, both domestically produced and imported. It operates in three segments: juvenile products segment, recreational/leisure segment and home furnishings segment. In January 2009, the Company acquired BABY ART bvba. In July 2009, Dorel acquired certain assets of Iron Horse Bicycles, including inventory, various trademarks and trade names, as well as the Iron Horse brand. In August 2009, Dorel acquired the assets of Gemini Bicycles and is creating a subsidiary to be known as Cycling Sports Group (CSG) Australia. In October 2009, the Company acquired Hot Wheels and Circle Bikes, one of the distributors of the Mongoose and GT brands. Hot Wheels has a portfolio of bicycle products and components, which are marketed to retail and leisure outlets throughout the United Kingdom. Circle Bikes owns the Charge brand.
