Alvis plc is an international manufacturer of armored fighting vehicles and other specialty military vehicles. Its product portfolio includes approximately 20 different wheeled vehicles and 16 tracked vehicles, ranging in size from the parachutable, 1.9-tonne, 6x6 wheeled Supacat to the 62-tonne Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank. The Company also develops tactical bridges, precision gunnery training simulators and battlefield management systems, and provides training and through-life vehicle support services. Alvis has customers in more than 40 countries around the world. The Company operates through a number of operating subsidiaries: Alvis Vickers Limited (including its Alvis Bridging Limited subsidiary), Alvis South Africa (Pty) Limited (including its Alvis OMC and Alvis Gear Ratio subsidiaries) and Alvis Hagglunds AB (including its HB Utveckling, Alvis Moelv AS and Patria Hagglunds Oy subsidiaries).
