Nippon Television Network Corporation is a Japan-based television broadcasting company engaged in three business segments. The Television Broadcasting segment is engaged in the production and broadcasting of television programs, the sale of air time and programs to advertisers, as well as the purchase of broadcasting rights for professional baseball games. The Culture segment is engaged in the holding of concerts, art exhibits and sports events, the production and airing of movies, the publishing business, the planning and production of music, videos, as well as the management of copy rights and merchandising rights. The Others segment is engaged in the leasing of offices and commercial tenants, the sale of novelty products, the operation of insurance agencies, the operation of professional soccer team, the business management and Internet-related businesses, the provision of radio broadcasting services and others. On September 30, 2009, the Company sold its Tokyo-based subsidiary.
