Nuplex Industries Limited manufactures resins for coatings, adhesives, paper and composites, and supplies a range of functional products to industry. It operates in two segments: resins and specialties. The resins segment is engaged in the manufacture of synthetic resins for regional markets, and distribution of complementary functional materials. The specialties segment is engaged in the manufacture and distribution of a range of functional materials for regional markets; manufacture of resin-based flooring and building products; distribution of related agency products and resilient flooring in New Zealand, and manufacture of light-weight plasters in Australasia. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2009 (fiscal 2009), the Company acquired the business assets of Plaster Systems Limited. In December 2009, the Company restructured its operations into two business divisions, Nuplex Functional Materials & Specialties and Nuplex Resins.
