Macquarie CountryWide Trust (the Trust) is a property trust engaged in investing in the retail property market. The Trust invests in grocery-anchored shopping centres focused on non-discretionary retail spending. It has a portfolio of assets in Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Europe. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2009 (fiscal 2009), the Trust sold 16 properties in Australia. In the United States, it entered into an agreement with Regency Centers to dissolve a joint venture through a distribution in kind of the properties. Nineteen of these properties were then sold in three tranches. As at June 30, 2009, its portfolio occupancy rate was 95.3%. In fiscal 2009, the Trust completed two projects, Orange Central in August 2008, which is 93% leased, and Morisset Shopping Centre in October 2008, which is 91% leased.
