Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (Akenerji) is a Turkey-based company engaged in the generation, transfer and distribution of electricity and heat energy (steam). It also makes investments in the renewable energy sector. The activities of Akenerji’s affiliates include generating, transmitting, distributing, purchasing and selling electric energy, as well as establishing facilities for that purpose. The Company’s power plants are Yalova, Ayyildiz WPP, Yalova Akal, Cerkezkoy, Bozuyuk and Kemalpasa. The Company's plants apply cogeneration and combined cycle technologies, and meet the power, steam and hot water requirements of over 400 industrial enterprises. Akenerji transmits the electricity generated to its customers either directly from the Akenerji bus bar through direct lines or via national interconnection systems, whereas heat energy is supplied directly through pipelines. Akenerji acquired Egemer Elektrik Uretim AS on March 25, 2009. Akenerji is part of Akkok Group.
