American Nortel Communications, Inc. (ANC) is in the business of long distance telecommunications services offerings and is a reseller of 1-Plus, 1-800 and 1-888 long distance telecommunications services. ANC resells long distance telephone time that it purchases or leases from other long distance carriers. The Company resells long distance telephone services to both business and residential customers. ANC is charged for the time it uses beyond certain minimum requirements, and in turn, charges its customers a certain rate per minute. To a large extent, ANC's profits are dependent upon the difference between its cost per minute of long distance time purchased, and the amount it charges its customers.
