Private Export Funding Corporation (PEFCO) assists in the financing of United States exports by supplementing the financing available from commercial banks and other lenders. PEFCO offers a range of financing programs as a direct lender and as a secondary market buyer of loans that finance the export sales of the United States goods and services, and that are originated by lenders. PEFCO does not buy loans from exporters. The Company's programs cover a range of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) supported export finance continuum, including short-term, medium-term and long-term. Additionally, the PEFCO Small Business Initiative offers programs to support loans that are not served under PEFCO's standard formats. PEFCO Finance Corporation (PFC), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, assists it in the financing of purchases of long-term debt obligations issued by foreign importers of the United States goods and services.
